Springfield, IL (November 18, 2021)— The Career Development Division (CDD), a division of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois (CBAI), named Katie Ashworth, CRM Officer/ Training Coordinator, of CNB Bank & Trust, N.A., Carlinville, as their “2021 Banker of the Year.” The award was presented at the CDD Fall Meeting held in Springfield, IL. The award is based on participation in CBAI legislative, education and public relations programs, involvement in CDD programs, community involvement in non-banking activities which enhance career and personal life, and an outstanding recognition or completion of education programs.

Ashworth met all criteria to be eligible for “Career Banker of the Year,” plus her accomplishments went well beyond what is expected of her position and responsibilities at the bank. Ashworth is committed to success and growth within her community and is dedicated to being a true community banker in every aspect. She has continued to raise money for Community BancPac and CBAI’s Foundation for Community Banking, along with being active in CBAI’s lobbying efforts by attending the Capital Conference for many years. Ashworth has also been very active within her community by advancing the cause of financial literacy for both children and adults. She has been truly dedicated to the mission of the CDD and has represented the group as a true community banking professional.
